Ground Up Development is an organisation that seeks to encourage, inspire, and equip young people who are facing social exclusion. Our courses, programmes and project ideas are beneficial to all young people but are especially geared towards providing essential support and motivation for young people whose outlook on life is obscured by the obstacle of overcoming a difficult past or those who feel undermined by negative stereotypes and negative self-perceptions. At Ground-Up we are determined to reach those who fall into these social categories by engaging them in activities and projects that will have a positive impact and lasting influence on their lives and the communities in which they live.

Our Vision-

To motivate and encourage young people and give them hope for the future

To encourage creative activities such as music, dance, drama and the arts

To train young people to become Peer Educators and Team Leaders

To develop and educate them on self-awareness, Identity, Citizenship and self development issues

To help young people to develop a positive attitude towards education

To increase their chances in employability and expose them to various career routes

To empower them with knowledge and broaden their understanding of the issues we face in modern society.

Programmes and Activities-

The end products of our various projects, which are not all listed here include events such as exhibitions, concerts and showcases, as well as the production of tangible outputs such as books, magazines and DVD documentary/short films.
